I retired in 2009 from Laurens County School System where I taught for 30 years and was middle school athletic director for 23 years. I am still involved with athletics on the Eastside of the county by providing meals for the football team, keeping the scorebook at the home softball games, and keeping the clock at the middle school and high school basketball games.

I have 2 grown sons and 3 grandchildren.  I am active in my church and community.

With the help and support of the City of East Dublin, we reinstated the East Dublin Recreation Department (also known as Eastside Recreation) in January of 2025.  

Though I am learning the recreation side of things, my main goal is to get children involved with sports by teaching them the basic rules and letting them have fun in the learning.
