Facility Program Assistant
Job Description
The Facility Program Assistant is responsible for maintaining facilities of Lenora Park Community Recreation Center. Including but not limited to setting up for events/rentals and providing customer service both internal and external.
Essential Duties
- Maintaining facilities and rounds by sweeping and mopping floors, removing trash, vacuuming, and performing related custodial duties.
- Setting up facilities and arranging rooms for classes, rentals, and/or special events.
- Providing administrative support by maintaining maintenance records, safety documents, and basic reports.
- Assisting customers, citizens, co-workers and contractors with general questions and concerns regarding event/rental information and/or facility maintenance/repair.
- Assisting with programming duties by answering phone calls, processing registration fees, completing rental and program contracts, and reviewing rental documents for accuracy.
- Assisting with budget, collecting refunds, issuing receipts, and balancing monies received.
- Maintaining related facility equipment such as changing oil, stripping and waxing floors, changing light bulbs, and performing related maintenance.
- Performing other duties of a similar nature or level.
Other Job Requirements/Information
- This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.
Grade
The grade for this position is B21(2). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.
Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED AND
- Two years of facility and grounds maintenance or related recreation support
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications
- Associate degree and two years of facility and grounds maintenance or related recreation support
- An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
- Current CPR
- Preferred experience requirement
