Job Description
This Program Leader will be responsible for assisting with regular, summer camp, and youth athletics programming; operations; and event planning at Lucky Shoals Park Community Recreation Center in Tucker, GA. This position will be required to provide travel and oversight to satellite parks, pavilion rental locations, and athletics facilities.

Essential Duties

-Supporting and training part-time staff

-Interacting with residents, department and other county representatives, and other agencies

-Maintaining a safe operating environment

-Completing and processing paperwork

-Preparing and maintaining records and reports

-Assisting with special events and programming

-Overseeing Youth Athletic Associate (YAA) and field rentals at satellite locations

-Completing Civic Rec entries for camps, programs, and classes

-Maintaining communication with staff and management

-Providing excellent customer service

Other Job Requirements/Information

-Must be able to work a variety of hours, weekends, daytime, evenings, and holidays.

-Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications

-Associate degree in parks and recreation, health and human services, senior services or a related field AND

-One year of programming, event planning, or community service experience 

-An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.

-Valid driver's license

-CPR Certification within 6 months 

-First Aid Certification within 6 months

Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications

-Two years of recreation programming, event planning, or community service experience

-CPR Certification

-First Aid Certification

-Strong supervisory or leadership experience

-Proficiency in program management software and budgeting skills

-Strong planning and organizational skills for managing multiple programs and events simultaneously
