Program Supervisor

Job Description
The Program Supervisor will be responsible for supervising staff to include prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, ensuring staff are trained, follow policies and procedures; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.  In addition, this incumbent will be responsible for developing, overseeing, and scheduling the daily activities of recreational related programs and facility events.

Essential Duties

  • Coordinating activities with internal and external departments to determining programming needs, evaluating program objectives, and marketing programs
  • Communicating, developing, and enforcing policies and procedures in relation to facility user groups
  • Maintaining records, forms, and reports regarding program objectives, evaluation and financial status
  • Involved in public relations, including hearing and resolving complaints, publicizing programs, events and interacts with user groups, general public and volunteers
  • Maintaining a healthy and safe working environment

Other Job Requirements/Information

  • This job may require on-call rotation and emergency after hours, weekends, and/or holidays.

Grade

The grade for this position is B32(1). Salary will be dependent on education and experience.

 

Effective 4/11/2023, this position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Parks and Recreation, Health and Human Services, Senior Services or a related field AND
  • Two years of experience requirement
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered.
  • Driver's License
